8. Protection
The suspect in the case is Jack Gordon, who was the boyfriend of the murder victim from 20 years earlier. He has Schizophrenia and had been abusive to her during his episodes. He was released from prison just a week before Decker’s murder. Karen Decker had testified against him at the trial. They want to put Loretta under protection in case anyone else who testified is in danger.
