6 biggest losers of the Academy Awards (not the 'La La Land' cast)

PricewaterhouseCoopers

Okay I lied, there will be one mention of the "La La Land"/"Moonlight mix-up...
According to the Boston Globe, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the company that oversees the Oscars' voting and balloting procedures (yes, including the envelopes), prints duplicates of every envelope. Two PwC "balloting leaders" are responsible for counting the ballots and carrying each of the 24 award winners in two separate briefcases. The two ballot leaders then stand on opposite sides of the stage and hand envelopes to presenters who enter from either side of the stage. A screencap clearly shows Warren Beatty holding an envelope labeled "Best Actress in a Leading Role" which means someone handed him the wrong envelope.

PwC has since blamed their accountant for the mix up now known as Envelopegate.
