It's pretty safe to say that if the emcee of an event is also someone with whom you have an increasingly petty rivalry, you're probably going to have a rough night. Poor Mr. Damon had to suffer through the many hijinks of host Jimmy Kimmel including being introduced simply as "guest" when he took the stage to present an award with friend Ben Affleck and getting "played off" by the Oscars orchestra—conducted by Kimmel himself—mere moments after he started talking.
