In case you missed it, Mariah Carey ended 2016 with one of her worst performances of all time.
The singer performed on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest and it was nothing short of awful. She did a medley of her hits "Emotions" and "We Belong Together" but the performance did not go as planned.
The icon's in-ear monitors were not working which cause for an unforgettably bad performance. It was very clear the Mariah's World star was frustrated, telling the crowd, "We didn’t have a [sound] check for this song, so we’ll just say it went to No. 1 and that’s what it is, okay?”
Knowing her performance was dropping faster than the ball itself on New Years Eve at midnight, she continued to speak through the performance.
“Well, Happy New Year! We can’t hear, but I’ll just get through the moment,” she said.
By the time the Carey's hit "We Belong Together" began to play, the diva admitted that it was the album version and that she would just sing along, therefore her attempting to lip sync looked even more awkward.
Better than Mimi's performance were the tweets about it! Keep reading to see the best ones.
