It's been four years since John Mayer's last studio album "Paradise Valley," which is a long time for an artist to not be releasing music.
The long wait for new music from Mayer is finally over, well almost. Friday morning the singer released, 'Wave 1" of his new project The Search For Everything. The project includes four songs, including the previously released, "Love on the Weekend."
The Search for Everything Wave One is out now. I can’t wait for you to hear it. ????

My heart’s racing. These songs represent literally hundreds of hours of living inside of these little worlds. And more to come.

Mayer explained his rationale earlier this month in a Facebook post. "The album will be released four songs at a time," he wrote. "There were too many songs to ever get out the door at once."
Not only is Mayer freaking out over his new music, a very excited Charlie Puth is too.
This is my third time now listening to 'The Search For Everything' Wave One. Congrats brother @JohnMayer.

Shawn Mendes tweeted as well that the new music is "absolutely pure magic."
