Jim Parsons to host weekly political talk show on SiriusXM

Actor Jim Parsons, of Big Bang Theory, is hosting the newest political talk show on SiriusXM. The show, titled Jim Parsons is Too Stupid for Politics, will air for the first time on Jan. 20, which just happens to be Inauguration Day.

Parsons plays an awkward science genius on the popular sitcom often spouting outlandish comments. He will bring some of that same wit and intellect to the talk show executives at SiriusXM promise .

"Listeners will be treated to his humor, quirkiness, and great curiosity on a subject that's on everybody's mind," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer.

Parsons expressed his excited at the opportunity stating, "I am excited to sit down and connect with some experts in our government system—from professors to authors—to really get a better idea of what goes on in Washington D.C."

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, the talk show will feature experts on politics and international affairs, while giving callers a chance to weigh in and ask questions. The show will air Friday, Jan. 20, live at 7 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. PsT on SiriusXM channel 102.
