2016 was definitely an eventful year for Flip or Flop star Christina El Moussa. In fact, the mother-of-two described it as a "crazy year" when she reflected on everything that transpired over the past several months with her and her family.
El Moussa took to Instagram to ring in 2017 with a collage of photos from the past year and talked about the love she has for the children she shares with Tarek El Moussa.
"2016 has been a crazy year of highs and lows. A lot of things have changed but one thing will always remain a constant in my life and that is the love I have for our children," she wrote.
One of the lows the HGTV star is referring to is her split from Tarek which the two announced to the public in December. They released a statement on the matter and revealed that there was some type of altercation at their home involving a gun that led to police being called to their property.
“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” they said in the joint statement. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed. During the process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be. We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”
The pair couldn't escape the headlines after that announcement as the stories and revelations that came out about them seemed endless.
