10. Star Wars: The Special Edition Trilogy
A re-release of its previous films: A New Hope (Jan. 31, 1997), Empire Strikes Back (Feb. 21, 1997), and Return of the Jedi (March 14, 1997). This theatrical re-release celebrated 20 years in 1997 and was given a $10 million dollar makeover by director George Lucas who reworked the original films, including their audio track and special effects that boasted modern-day CGI. This release allowed movie-goers to witness the action-packed greatness that their parents did in the '70s. It's been 40 years and Star Wars has undeniably become a cult favorite, winning many awards.
