9. Tim Tebow pursues baseball career
After his NFL career didn’t work out, Tim Tebow landed a gig with ESPN as a college football analyst and was often featured on the SEC Network.
The athlete inside him was still itching to play on the field though, any field, so in August he announced that he was pursuing a career in baseball. The news was so surprising because it was a sport that he had not played since 2005, but anything is possible in Tebow’s world and he ended up signing a minor-league deal with the New York Mets.
