Memphis-born singer, songwriter, drummer and producer Maurice White was the founder of Earth, Wind & Fire. With seven Grammy awards under his belt, White ceased touring in the ‘90s due to a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He did not let that stop him altogether though. White continued to write, produce and found his own record label. He was a force of nature right up until the end.
