Dave Chappelle brings stand-up to Netflix in 2017

Dave Chappelle is teaming up with Netflix to release a brand new comedy stand-up special in time for the new year, with the help of director Stan Lathan.

In addition, according to CNN Money, the duo will also work together to release two never -seen-before shows from the comedian's "personal vault" filmed at Austin City Limits and The Hollywood Palladium.

All three specials will be released at the same time, perfect timing for year-end binge watching.

Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s vice-president of original documentary and comedy, shared in a statement, “Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy — searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential. Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy, and we are honored he will mark his global return on Netflix.”

As we reported, Chappelle returned to television with his Saturday Night Live appearance.  His Walking Dead skit delivered season-high ratings for the show.

Chappelle made his mark on The Chappelle Show which aired for 3 seasons on Comedy Central, before he left to return to stand-up.
