7. “What’s He Building?”
At times, Tom Waits’ music is exceedingly experimental – for lack of a better word. This particular tune was released in 1999 on the Mule Variations album. With ambient sounds and an eerie spoken poem, this piece is a great example of his less traditional inclinations.
