Although Kid Cudi is currently away from the spotlight and in a rehab facility for help dealing with mental health issues, his name has made headlines this week.
The "Day 'n' Nite" rapper's name was mentioned earlier this week when Drake took a shot at him for those issues in a new song. Drizzy's choice to do so was not well received and Twitter users were quick to let him know that.
On Tuesday, Oct. 25, Cudi's name was again brought up by Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, but for a reason no one expected.
During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Davidson was asked whose music he preferred out of Drake and Cudi's.
"Cudi's the best of all," he answered. "He saved my life. I would've killed myself if I didn't have Kid Cudi."
The 22-year-old comedian elaborated a bit more by saying, "I would've killed myself. Absolutely 100%. I truly believe if Man on the Moon didn't come out, I wouldn't be here."
As we reported, Cudi penned an emotional letter to his fans earlier this month admitting he himself has thoughts of suicide and has been battling depression.
Davidson said that he's been in touch with the rapper since he entered the treatment facility and gave an update on how he is doing.
"I texted with him last Monday, and he's in really good spirits," Davidson shared. "I think I might go see him next week. But he's in a good place."
