As the world was fixated on the second presidential debate, Olympic swimmer and Dancing With the Stars contestant Ryan Lochte revealed to the world that he is engaged to Kayla Rae Reid.
The former Speedo-sponsored swimmer and Playboy model shared tons of pics following their annoucement on Instagram Sunday night. In those, the 25-year-old Reid's hand was placed perfectly on her fiancé's face showing off her ring in front of a Malibu backdrop.
The two met back in January at a nightclub, however, it wasn't until Lochte's Rio robbed at gunpoint story that he knew she was the one because she stuck by his side through the controversy.
Just last week, Lochte told USA Today that he was ready to propose.
"My family says, 'Don't you think it's a little to soon?' I'm like, 'Can you put a time on love? Can you?'"
Not only was his own family skeptical of his choice, but so were the ever-faithful users of Twitter who recalled that the former swimmer was on the dating app, Tinder not too long ago.

Let's just hope the E! network doesn't use this engagement as a reason to bring back the Olympian's oh-so-awful What Would Ryan Lochte Do reality show.
