Source says Brad Pitt denies abuse of children, fought with Angelina on plane

Things certainly seem to be getting ugly with the pending Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie divorce and custody battle and now a source is claiming that Pitt's side of the story is much different than what has been reported.

One day after news broke that Brad Pitt allegedly abused at least one of his children and is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, a source says no "abuse" occurred.

Pitt was accused of being "physically and verbally abusive" to the kids while he was drunk on the family's private jet last week. However, a source close to the By the Sea star wanted to clarify those reports.

The actor “was drunk, and there was an argument between him and Angelina,” the source told People. One of the couple’s older sons “then got caught in the middle, literally. He stepped in front of Brad. There was a parent-child argument which was not handled in the right way and escalated more than it should have.

“He [Pitt] is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed. He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that," the source stressed. "He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was nose to nose and was spiraling out of control.”

Another insider stated that Brad has not been in contact with Angelina or seen his children since the actress filed for divorce earlier this week.

One interesting note is that the incident on the plane occurred on Sept. 14 and Jolie listed the couple's separation date as Sept. 15, just one day later.
