Move over LeBron James you’re not the greatest athlete ever, at least according to Nike. The company called tennis star Serena Williams the greatest athlete ever in a new ad released on Thursday.
According to Yahoo Sports, Williams was asked about being one of the greatest female athletes of all time by a reporter earlier this summer. Williams said that she prefers to be one of the greatest athletes of all time. Nike decided to go further and called her the greatest athlete ever.

The commercial is part of Nike’s “Unlimited” campaign. It chronicles William’s journey from tennis prodigy to tennis great using words and numbers that flash on the screen. At the end of the ad, the words "greatest female athlete ever" appear and the word "female" then disappears and all that remains is "greatest athlete ever." Nike has also put up ads calling Williams the greatest athlete ever in Queens as she goes for her 23rd Grand Slam title.
