Woman falls to her death after taking selfie at Grand Canyon

Authorities in Arizona have said that they recovered the body of a Florida woman who took a selfie on the edge of a cliff at the Grand Canyon before she fell to her death.

The Associated Press identified the woman as Colleen Burns, 35, who was hiking in the park with some friends and taking in her surroundings before she fell off a cliff on the South Kaibab Trail at Ooh Aah Point.

Just before her death, Burns posted this pic of herself sitting on the ledge of the canyon to Instagram with the caption. “That view tho [sic].” Sadly, it would be the last picture taken of her alive.

That view tho ????????????

One of her friends, who was on the trail with her, said that she just lost her footing while letting someone go by her and fell backwards. Burns’ body was found 400 feet below.

Her death is still being investigated at this time.
