Nick Jonas to join Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's 'Jumanji' remake

Nick Jonas is in talks to join Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the Jumanji remake.

Jonas would be directed by Jake Kasdan (Sex TapeBad Teacher) in the remake of the 1995 Robin Williams adventure film, according to Variety. The singer, songwriter and Scream Queens actor joins Kevin Hart and Jack Black on the list of rumored names to join the film.

The remake was written by Jeff Pinker (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Scott Rosenberg (Kangaroo Jack) based on a draft from Chris McKenna (Community) and Erik Sommers (American Dad). Start the 364 day countdown unless the film is delayed from its July 28, 2017 release.

Jonas stars in the DirecTV series Kingdom and the frat hazing drama Goatthe trailer of which was released recently and is set for release on Sept. 23. His latest album, Last Year Was Complicated, was released in June.
