Nick Jonas and Ben Schnetzer lead the frat drama Goat, with an appearance by producer James Franco.
The film, from director Andrew Neel, is based on a memoir by the character Schnetzer plays and takes a hard look at the hazing done by fraternities. Goat premiered at the Sundance Film Festival back in January and received positive reviews. The film will be released on Sept. 23, 2016.
Jonas has been seen acting in shows like Maya & Marty, Kingdom and Scream Queens recently. He's also a popular songwriter and singer with his recent album, Last Year Was Complicated, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 behind Drake's Views. Schnetzer is best known for his performances in the Golden Globe-nominated film Pride and The Book Thief. He was recently seen in Warcraft.
Neel has directed documentaries, an experimental film and the indie movie King Kelly. He directs his sixth feature from a script by himself, Pineapple Express director David Gordon Green and King Kelly scribe Mike Roberts.
