TV director Jason "Jace" Alexander was sentenced to 10 years probation on child pornography charges.
According to Page Six, Alexander was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene performance by a child. We reported on Alexander's guilty plea in January. Alexander was facing a maximum of seven years in prison. In addition to his probation, Alexander will also have to register as a sex offender in New York .
Alexander was arrested in July of 2015 after he was caught downloading child pornography on his computer. Prosecutors stated that digital files of minors engaged in sex acts were discovered on the Law and Order director's computer. At the time of the discovery, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore reported that the files found on Alexander's computer contained children under 17 years of age.
Jace Alexander's directing career spans nearly two decades. In addition to his work on Law and Order, Alexander's other directing credits included The Blacklist and Rescue Me.
