Bankruptcy documents reveal Stacey Dash once relied on fiancé for financial support

Stacey Dash has once again been caught with her foot in her mouth.

The 49-year-old Fox News contributor, who admonished women a year ago on Meredith Vieira's talk show to stop making excuses about gender inequality pay, is found to have relied on her ex-husband (then fiance), James  Maby, for financial support when she filed for bankruptcy.

The actress reportedly filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in May 2004, according to The Daily Mail. Dash claimed to only have $28,582 in assets against more than $100,000 in liabilities. She said that she only had $7.00 in her bank account and was depending on $6,000 a month from Maby, who she divorced in 2006 after a year of marriage, to cover her expenses.

At the time, Dash also owed $70.000 in unpaid taxes to the IRS and $3,378 in unpaid taxes to the California State Franchise Tax Board, among other debts. The case was closed in 2006 after it was determined that the actress did not have any viable assets.

This seems like a far cry from the person who last year was telling women that the gender pay gap was an excuse "same as race."
