Trailer Park: ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ and ‘Me Before You’ head into theaters

Just because people have money, doesn’t mean they don’t have problems of their own.  The struggles of the rich are the focus of a comedy, romance and thriller that are debuting in theaters this weekend.  For some family fun, the Ninja Turtles are crawling out of the sewers once again.

Leonardo, Rafael, Michelangelo and Donatello are back in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.  This time around, the evil Shredder is creating mutants that are taking over New York City as the destructive alien Krang prepares to invade.  The Turtles join forces with April, Vern and Casey Jones to save the city.  The PG-13 film stars Meghan Fox and Will Arnett.  The action adventure film runs for one hour and forty-eight minutes.

A young woman, struggling to find a job, becomes the caregiver for a disabled young man in Me Before You.  The rich adventurer was forced to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair following a tragic accident and has since become bitter and pessimistic.  What starts out as a strained relationship between the two blossoms into a romance that changes their lives. The PG-13 drama is based on Jojo Moyes’ novel and stars Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin.  The film plays for one hour and fifty minutes.

Comedian Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island crew of Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone wrote and star in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.  The one hour and twenty-six minute comedy takes a look at a famous singer/rapper and the team behind him as they struggle with the disappointing sales from his second album.  The film co-stars Sarah Silverman, Tim Meadows and Maya Rudolph and features cameos by many famous musicians.  It’s rated R for nudity, language, sex and drugs.

A group of friends take a new drug from a nightclub owner in The Urge.  After agreeing to only a one-time high, they’re left wanting more and decide to satiate their craving by having another hit.  When one friend decides to stay sober, he sees firsthand the anarchy that ensues. The one hour and thirty minute thriller stars Pierce Brosnan, Danny Masterson, Justin Chatwin, Ashley Greene, Alexis Knapp and Nick Thune.  The limited released film is rated R for violence, sex, drugs and language.

Sequels to hit films hope to lure audiences into theaters again next week.  The Conjuring 2 and Now You See Me 2 debut on June 10.
