Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson releases trailer for YouTube channel

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson released a trailer for his production company's new YouTube channel called Seven Bucks Digital Studios.

The trailer depicts a woman setting out to discover "the secret of the forest" while a voiceover talks about an event so massive it changes life forever. At the end of the trailer, a beam of light shines on our heroine and the camera zooms way out to reveal this was all in the mind of Mr. The Rock, who then decides to make a YouTube channel. The date July 18 is shown at the end.

The channel will supply videos from Johnson as well as creations from Seven Bucks Productions, the company that houses much of The Rock's current projects including his HBO series, Ballers and upcoming films like Baywatch and the Jumanji remake.

Studio71 is partnering on the channel with Seven Bucks Productions. Formerly known as Collective Digital Studios, Studio71 is a digital talent partner that houses over 1,000 YouTube channels including Epic Meal Time, The Annoying Orange and Video Game High School.

The Rock made an announcement about the channel a month ago on Instagram.

Johnson has quite a presence on social media. The ex-wrestler, now A-list actor, has 56.2 million likes on his Facebook page, 56.6 million followers on Instagram and 10.2 million followers on Twitter. Outside of the internet, his recent comedy with Kevin Hart, Central Intelligence, opened to $35.5 million this past weekend at the domestic box office. His two films last year, San Andreas and Furious 7, grossed about $2 billion at the worldwide box office and the second season of his HBO series airs July 17.
