The world was stunned this weekend when 27-year-old actor Anton Yelchin died in a car accident when his car rolled backwards and left him trapped. Almost immediately, tributes poured in from social media as co-stars and fellow actors and actresses.
As previously reported, Yelchin was found after worried friends went to his home when he did not arrive for a visit. A rep said his family has requested “privacy at this time.”
Since news of his death, celebrities and fellow Star Trek co-stars have poured onto social media to mourn the loss of a star taken too soon.
John Cho tweeted his condolences, saying “I loved Anton Yelchin so much. He was a true artist- curious, beautiful, courageous. He was a great pal and a great son. I’m in ruins.” He asked everyone to also send their thoughts and love out to his family.
