Ayesha Curry responds to Stephen A Smith's comparison of her and LeBron James' wife

Ayesha Curry, wife of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, responded to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith after he compared her to LeBron James’ wife Savannah.

Curry made headlines after she criticized the refs for their officiating in the Finals. During Game 6 she tweeted that the game was “rigged for money or ratings.” She later deleted the tweet saying that she tweeted "in the heat of the moment."

Smith compared Curry to Savannah James on ESPN’s First Take on Friday.

“Savannah is not like that at all,” Smith said. “LeBron doesn’t have to protect her. She doesn’t put herself in those positions. She’s at practically every home game. Every time I’m in Cleveland, just like when I was in Miami, I saw her at every game. Everyone knows who she is. She sits in the same place. She’s at every game, and she’s just as pleasant as you can be.”

Curry responded on Twitter saying, “Why are you putting two women against each other like that? You’re the one that’s out of pocket.”

Smith then responded to Curry's tweet with the following explanation.

Steph Curry was fouled out of Thursday night's game and threw his mouthpiece at a fan in the crowd. The NBA fined him $25,000 for that and also fined Warriors coach Steve Kerr for his remarks after the game.

Game 7 is Sunday night in Oakland.
