Anthony Hopkins joins 'Transformers: The Last Knight' cast

All hail Sir Anthony Hopkins who is joining the cast of Transformers 5.

News that the legendary actor will join the cast was announced via the Transformers official Twitter page on Friday.

The Michael Bay film will also star Mark Wahlberg, who will return as Cade Yeager from Transformers: Age of Extinction as well as Josh Duhamel playing Lieutenant Colonel Lennox. Newcomers to the project Isabela Moner and Jerrod Carmichael are also part of the cast, however, it is not yet known what role they and Hopkins will play.

Transformers: The Last Knight will be written by Iron Man’s Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). It is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

The flick is expected to hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
