Donald Glover in talks to join 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'

Donald Glover is in talks to join Tom Holland and the rest of the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The news comes from THR, who also say the movie begins production later this month.

The movie will mark Tom Holland's second time as the web-slinging-swinging-swaying superhero after his appearance in Captain America: Civil War.

Homecoming also stars Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel), and Zendaya. Robert Downey Jr. is heavily rumored to reprise his role of Tony Stark/Iron Man and Michael Keaton is also rumored to play the film's villain, according to Variety.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) and written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Horrible Bosses, Vacation).

Glover is a Grammy-nominated artist under the name Childish Gambino. He also won three Writers Guild Awards for his work on 30 Rock. As an actor, he was on the NBC series Community and was seen in Ridley Scott's Best Picture nominee The Martian. His new show on FX received a trippy trailer earlier this month, and is set to premiere this fall.
