5. Her sense of justice
Claire refuses to live in a black and white world. One bad turn, does not deserve another. While wishing Jack Randall dead weighs heavily on her because of his sadistic rape and torture of Jamie, as well as his other crimes against humanity, she wants Frank to be born. She wants the Scots to not be wiped out at in battle and she supports their cause, but doesn't want the loss of life for both sides. Claire uses logic when making decisions and you can almost hear her mind saying, “But, on the other hand...?” when weighing most difficult choices. But, she will kill when necessary.
