1. She is a time-traveling superwoman
Regardless of the date on the calendar, Claire is a beautiful, educated and accomplished woman. Let’s not forget how sexy she is. She can tell a bawdy tale (and hold her liquor) with the boys. She can also enjoy some girl time. While no one would call her “masculine,” she doesn’t see herself, nor does anyone (at least not for long), view her as “just a woman.” Claire defies all gender barriers in any time period. She refused to be limited by gender, in fact it is never a consideration for her. She makes her own way, and we love her for it.
