A Kansas City man has demanded a DNA test to prove that he is the son of late music legend, Prince.
Carlin Q. Williams filed a claim in Carver County petitioning for a paternity test. Williams' mother, Marsha Henson, is claiming that she had unprotected sex with Prince in a Kansas City hotel in 1976, according to CBS Minnesota.
Williams is the first person to come forward with a paternity claim and the late star is not known to have any living children. Currently, the only known child of the "Purple Rain" singer is the son he had with his first wife Mayte Garcia. The child, named Boy Gregory, was born in 1996 and died days after he was born, according to The Huffington Post. Williams is claiming that he is the sole legal heir to Prince's estate.
Last week, according to CBS Minnesota, a judge gave permission for a sample of Prince's blood to be released for testing for the purpose of settling claims like Williams'.
The singer passed away April 21 at the age of 57.
