House of Lies ending after season 5

House of Lies, the Don Cheadle comedy over at Showtime, will not return after its current season ends next month.

"Over the course of its five seasons, [House of Lies] has tackled such hot-button topics as gender identity, wealth inequality, white privilege, police brutality, interracial relationships, and code-switching with honesty and a biting sense of humor," said President of Showtime David Nevins, "Matthew Carnahan and Don Cheadle have been dream partners and impeccable leaders. The core cast of Don, Kristen, Ben and Josh are one of the best comedy teams on television. They have brought the series to an incredibly satisfying conclusion with this historic final episode shot in Cuba.”

The series finale, "No Es Fácil," is the first American scripted series to be shot in Cuba since America and Cuba restored diplomatic relations since their separation in 1961. The episode airs Sunday, June 12 at 9/8c.

House of Lies aired its first episode in January 2012. Based on the book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time, the show follows immoral management consultant Marty Kaan (Don Cheadle) as he does everything he can to seal his deals. Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz, and Josh Lawson also star. Over the years, the show has picked up a Golden Globe for leading man Don Cheadle among three other nominations, as well as five Emmy nominations with a win in Art Direction.
