Ewan McGregor will have two lead roles in the newest season of FX's anthology series Fargo.
McGregor will play both Emmit and Ray Stussy, according to THR. Emmit is a real estate mogul with a family while his younger brother Ray has been living a much less-successful life and is now a parole officer. Ray, naturally, blames his brother for his terrible life.
Series creator Noah Hawley said that the third season will take place in 2010 in a, "selfie-oriented culture," according to EW. The first season of the show starred Billy Bob Thornton and was set in 2006. Season two featured Patrick Wilson and Kirsten Dunst in the lead and took place in 1979.
McGregor was recently seen in Last Days in the Desert where he played both Jesus and The Devil. He can next be seen in American Pastoral opposite Dakota Fanning and Jennifer Connelly. That movie is set for release on Oct. 28, 2016. McGregor also has T2 on the way, as well as the live-action adaption of Beauty and the Beast where he will play the candle, Lumiere.
Season three of Fargo premieres in spring 2017.
