Top 10 questions raised by the 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' trailer

The trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is finally here! It's not Episode VIII, but this initial teaser still looks like the Star Wars we all know and love, featuring an overload of original trilogy nostalgia combined with amazing Gareth Edwards camerawork.

In Rogue One, the first of many Star Wars spinoff movies that do not relate to the main storyline, we follow a group of fearless rebels who embark on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star. You may recall that this is the event that sets the entire Star Wars franchise in motion in the first place; the crawl of the original 1977 film reads, "...During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death Star, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet."

In short, Rogue One is the story of those aforementioned Rebel spies. It sounds like it will easily be the darkest Star Wars ever, with director Gareth Edwards approaching it as a Saving Private Ryan style war movie that happens to be set in a science fiction/fantasy world. The days of Jar Jar stumbling around and stepping in poop are over.
