The South has been booming with new music in the hip hop industry. However, there is one rapper in particular that has taken rap music to a whole new level. Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, aka Future, rose to fame quickly and has been known as one of the greatest rappers to come out of the South.
He began his rap career while living in Atlanta, where he was born and raised. He then joined the Dungeon family, a recording group based out of Atlanta. This was where he got his nickname "the Future," later shortened to just "Future."
He then went on to sign a major contract with record company Epic Records. From there, he worked on two albums, Pluto and Honest. He later released a collaborative mixtape with Canadian rapper Drake, called What a Time to be Alive, with other albums including DS2 (Dirty Sprite 2), Beast Mode, 56 Nights and his most recent album Evol.
