10. Meeting again
Dave was at his son-in-law’s house celebrating his grandson, Kai’s, birthday. He was still around to play with the boy and help clean up when his ex-wife, Hayden, arrived. They had not seen each other in years and she never returned his calls when he found out about Joy. In this scene, he found out she didn’t want their child to come second in his life since the work was always important. He was disappointed he didn’t have a choice.
