With his Saturday Night Live hosting gig complete, Peter Dinklage has ditched the kingdom of Game of Thrones for a galaxy far, far away.
On March 2, Dinklage hosted the NBC series alongside musical guest Gwen Stefani. He was joined by the singer for one sketch, in which the two sang about intergalactic patterned bottoms while an assassination attempt was under way.
"Look at my pants with the eyes on your face/My legs are wearing outer space," the actor crooned in the sketch.
There's no telling what inspired the zany sketch - perhaps it took a cue from SNL alum Jimmy Fallon's recurring "Tight Pants" sketch on The Tonight Show - but it certainly was an opportunity for both Dinklage and Stefani to showcase their comedic sensibilities. It also represents an enviable musical moment that will set the bar for upcoming hosts and musical guests, which as we reported will be Russell Crowe and Margo Price on April 9, then Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Nick Jonas on April 16.
