The Kansas City Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer is being called a hero after saving a teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert on April 6.
When fans realized Hosmer was in attendance at the concert outside the Sprint Center in Kansas City, a big commotion erupted. The 26-year-old baseball player was swarmed by a large group of teenage girls as they tried to leave the concert. In all of the fanfare, a girl fell down and was almost trampled by the crowd. That’s when Hosmer stepped in.

"I just saw a girl fall in front of me, and I helped her up. It wasn't anything heroic or anything like that,” said Hosmer, according to ESPN. "I think that happened before we all realized what was going [on]. Just helped her up real quick. Just doing what a guy should do. You see someone fall, you should help her up."
Royals Review shared a collection of videos and pictures of the insane mob that surrounded the player.
Hosmer was a part of the first Royals World Series in 30 years, but he is still not used to all of the attention he receives in public. "I guess that's what happens when you win a world championship: You become more popular," he said.
