Amy surprises Sheldon with a new laptop but he does not think that this is a good thing because he wanted to pick one himself. To his surprise, it turns out that the one Amy got is up to his standards.
Amy tells Sheldon that he can return his old laptop for store credit. This causes Sheldon to freak out. Amy asks why he is acting so weird, so Sheldon says he will show her, but not before she signs a nondisclosure agreement. She easily agrees, especially since she also had to sign one before they slept together.
They arrive at Sheldon’s storage unit, which contains everything he has ever owned including old toothbrushes and Ziploc bags. Sheldon reveals that he is ashamed and that nobody knows about this except for her. Amy tries to make him feel better and tells him that she will be there for him if he ever decided to throw something away. Sheldon decides that he will start small and throw away a golf ball that his brother threw at him once. Sheldon tosses the ball into the garbage can, making Amy proud. However, Sheldon secretly rolls the ball back into the unit when he closes it.

In tonight’s sub plot, Penny and Bernadette bring their husbands some lunch while they are working. Since what they are working on isn’t “too technical,” they decide to let the girls help out when they offer. The guys realize they have to run out to get solder and leave them to work on their prototype by wrapping pipe fittings. Raj drops in and after initially kicking him out, they decide to let him help.

The guys get sidetracked when they are offered free passes to see an upcoming movie starring Will Smith. Thinking that it could be Suicide Squad, they decide to stay for the viewing. They text the girls telling them that they got a flat while driving to get the solder. After finding out the screening is Suicide Squad, they text Raj telling him where they really are to rub it in his face, not knowing he is with the girls. Raj reveals their lie and the girls decide to let them think they are getting away with the lie to see how far they will take it.
To Raj’s disappointment, they guys return with flowers and come clean about where they were. Raj feels that it was very anti-climatic.
