Looks like X-Men: Apocalypse's Lucas Till is about to tackle a different franchise.
Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly confirmed that the 25-year-old actor will star in the CBS reboot of the hit '80s TV series MacGyver.
The tween set became acquainted with Till back in 2009, when he starred opposite Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana: The Movie. He later capitalized on his heartthrob status by playing Taylor Swift's romantic interest in her music video for the Grammy-nominated song "You Belong with Me," and inadvertently became a part of modern pop culture history. That's also the video for which Swift notoriously beat out Beyonce for the MTV VMA Award for Video of the Year, prompting the now-notorious Kanye West interruption that started their ongoing feud.
As we reported, CBS ordered the pilot for the reboot last month. James Wan is signed on to executive produce, and Henry Winkler, who produced the original series, will return as executive producer.
The TV reboot isn't the only attempted reincarnation of MacGyver currently in the works. Last month, Lionsgate announced plans for a MacGyver movie.
