'Saturday Night Live' slams Donald Trump supporters in 'Racists for Trump' sketch

NBC's Saturday Night Live has taken a not-so-subtle shot at the opinions of those who support Donald Trump as the Republican presidential nominee.

On Feb. 6, during an episode hosted by Jonah Hill, the series aired a pre-recorded segment that lived up to its title. 'Racists for Trump' used a campaign ad format to make a scathing statement about the real motives of those who support Trump.

This criticism of Trump supporters follows Trump's hosting of Saturday Night Live back in November, for which the series was widely criticized. As we reported, the hosting gig followed NBC's attempt to sever its relationship with Trump, which included the Miss Universe Pageant and his reality series The Apprentice last summer.

Shortly after Trump hosted SNL, NBC defended its decision to allow him to do so. "If we were in the business of never having anyone guest on the network who disagreed with our views," said NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt, "we would be out of business.”
