'Game of Thrones' stars participate in PSA about refugee crisis

The cast of Game of Thrones is raising awareness about a situation just as horrifying as anything happening in Westeros.

HBO and the International Rescue Committee have partnered up and created the "Rescue Has No Boundaries Campaign." Their first step was a new PSA, encouraging Game of Thrones fans to donate and help refugees around the world.

"The International Rescue Committee is providing relief for over three million people across the region, working tirelessly in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Serbia and in Greece, and helping thousands of families who have been offered safe haven in the United States to start over and rebuild their lives," Lena Headey, or Cersei Lannister, says in the video.

Game of Thrones viewers are encouraged to donate on the IRC's website and to promote the campaign using the hashtag #RealmToTheRescue. HBO has also launched a contest on Omaze, where those who donate have a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles for the season 6 premiere.  A $10 donation to the IRC provides 100 chances to win, while increasing amounts unlock additional chances and exclusive prizes.

Game of Thrones' sixth season premieres on April 24.
