7. The Sneetches
Dr. Seuss was well known as a social activist and he shared many messages of acceptance and equality through books such as Horton Hears a Who when he reminds us that “a person’s a person, no matter how small!” Sneetches is also a story of social commentary. There are two types of Sneetches, ones with stars and ones without them. All these characters can see is how they are different and therefore should be separate, each believing their type superior.
