Cynthia Nixon 'would love to do' another 'Sex and the City' movie

Good news for all the self-proclaimed "Miranda"s out there: Cynthia Nixon has said that if another Sex and the City film was made, she'd be on board to reprise her role.

Nixon told E! News at Saturday's Film Independent Spirit Awards that she could be counted on to return in the event of a franchise reboot. “Of course I would love to do it if [executive producer] Michael Patrick King thought there was a story there that he wanted to write and tell,” the 49-year-old said. Nixon was nominated for Best Supporting Female at the awards for her role in James White.

As we previously reported, Nixon's co-star Sarah Jessica Parker has alluded to the fact that she and King have a story in mind for a new SATC installment. When asked if the two had shared it with her, Nixon responded: "I do not know what that story is ... I do not have a story in mind."

The 2008 Sex and the City movie was followed by a 2010 sequel with Nixon, Parker and co-stars Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall all reprising their roles from the original HBO series, which aired from 1998-2004.
