Rumors are flying after Avril Lavigne posted a photo to her Instagram account with her ex-husband, Chad Kroeger.
The picture shows Lavigne, 31, sitting close to the Nickelback frontman, 41. The duo is all smiles while playing instruments together in the recording studio on March 8. Lavigne’s photo has no caption, leaving fans’ imaginations to wander whether they have just reunited for a recording session.
The two were married in France in July of 2013. The marriage was short and only lasted two years. In 2015, Lavigne announced her separation from Kroeger and let the public know about the divorce via an Instagram photo explaining the situation, as reported on TheCelebrityCafe.com.
The two singers released a song together, “Let Me Go,” in 2013. Through all of the troubles surrounding their marriage, they seem to have kept up their music relationship at least.
This is not the first time since their split that the exes have gotten together to bond over their love of music. In October of 2015, only a month after their separation, Lavigne revealed she was in the studio writing music with Kroeger.
