Aerie by American Eagle Outfitters has become famous for their efforts to get rid of retouching all photos and models for their women's campaign. They have now come out with a new campaign for men, Aerie Man.
The campaign, #AerieMan, celebrates "REAL men who love themselves inside and out," American Eagle said. The underwear campaign does away with all retouching and aims to send body-positive messages to consumers to embrace their bodies as well.
The campaign boasts being "the perfect foundation for your busy and athletic lifestyle." It features four models thus far, all with different body types.
One of the models, Matt, said in the introductory video, "If you're confident within yourself and you're happy, then that's what's going to come off as beautiful to other people, not what you look like."
Another model, Doug, said of the campaign, "I think a lot of people don't like the airbrushing and photoshopping and they enjoy just to see what's real."
