Zayn Malik has responded to criticism that his album cover for his first solo album Mind of Mind looks a lot like Lil Wayne’s cover art for Tha Carter III and Tha Carter IV.
It’s not the same photo, but it’s the same concept. Malik’s cover features a throwback to when he was a child in black and white, with photoshopped tattoos on his arms. Lil Wayne’s albums are the same, but in color, and have photoshoppped tattoos to his face, hands and neck.
The former One Direction singer has since taken to Twitter to respond, and retweeted a fan’s post that reads “Lil Wayne didn't trademark using baby pictures as cover art.”
I'm not tryna be no rapper , my album is me a child .. My ideas have been with me a long time,

Use your brain, appreciate art don't discriminate what you don't understand
