Whitney Cummings poses with dogs to support pet adoption

Everyone knows dogs are a human's best friend, but comedian Whitney Cummings knows that they also make the best photo shoot partners.

On Feb. 11, the Undateable star posted a behind-the-scenes photo to her Instagram account, in which she is posing with two pooches in a shoot to promote the Best Friends Animal Society - or, as the comedian herself calls it, "mutt modeling."

According to their website, the Best Friends Animal Society is an animal welfare organization that promotes awareness of the thousands of dogs and cats killed in shelters every year. Its mission is to "save them all" by encouraging adoption. Other celebrities who have lent their voices to the cause by posing with their furry best friends include actresses Lisa Edelstein, Emmy Rossum and Amanda Seyfried.
