While former Marvel Comics President Stan Lee has been making infamous cameo appearances in Marvel films for years, there's one place he's decided he'll no longer be making appearances: Toronto's Fan Expo Canada.
Earlier today, the Toronto Sun reported that the 93-year-old has decided that his upcoming visit to the fan convention in September 2016 will be his last.
When asked why this year's visit will be his final one, Lee responded: “It’s so pleasant to go somewhere where people like you and want to hear what you have to say. It’s very flattering. But I’m 93 years old. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to do it. I want to make this one big event.”
When told by the interviewer that he didn't seem to be slowing down, Lee quipped: "Well, I can’t run the marathon and win the way I used to.”
Lee does, however, plan to return to Denver in the future, having told 9 News last week that he plans to attend a convention there later this year.
Last month, Lee released The Zodiac Legacy: The Dragon's Return, the second in a series of graphic novels he penned.
