Big Ang appeared on The Dr. Oz Show on Feb. 16 and opened up about her reaction to finding out she had stage 4 lung and brain cancer after thinking she had beat cancer twice. She also told Dr. Oz about her decision to leave her husband, Neil Murphy, during this fragile time in her life.
The Mob Wives star, real name Angela Raiola, admitted she has been feeling depressed, although at times, “I feel I’m gonna be fine.”
She also talked about leaving her husband, who she appeared on Vh1’s Couples Therapy with, after six years of marriage.
"I felt like he never stepped up to the plate, so I was done with it," she said of Murphy, People reports.. "Now, it's too late. I would rather be by myself. I would rather be alone."
She does have two children and six grandchildren and her sister, Janine Detore, drives her to all of her doctor's appointments. "If it wasn't for them, how would i get through this?" she asked.
Raiola continued of fighting cancer, "It's destroying me. I can't even believe what I look like."
