Melissa McCarthy raps fake Kanye West song in 'Saturday Night Live' promo

Melissa McCarthy's latest promo for her appearance on this weekend's Saturday Night Live, released earlier this week, shows her polishing up her puns and rapping alongside cast member Vanessa Bayer.

Posted to SNL's YouTube page, the video continues the series' recent trend of setting promos outside of the Studio 8H main stage. Set in a nail salon, the promo features the two comedians engaging in some not-so-typical salon chit chat. They dish out some light mockery of Kanye West, who will serve as the episode's musical guest, in the form of "Butterscotch Man," a supposed Kanye hit that McCarthy appears to make up on the spot.

"B-b-b-butterscotch man/tatter tot yam/put it my ham..." McCarthy raps, in a nod to some of Kanye's seemingly nonsensical lyrics, attempting to convince Bayer of the song's existence. "And then there's, like, an echo and dogs barking...you know it!"

As we previously reported, McCarthy is an SNL veteran, with this Saturday's episode representing her fourth time hosting the show. The episode will premiere Feb. 13 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC. She stars in The Boss, which opens on April 8.
